Literature Text

I.

And there the sun burns crimson bright,
But just can’t seem to find a job,
Captain Hook must be gentle.

II.

Depends how thin you cut it
Eggs on Easter,
From inside a lion.

III.

Geraldine now, stop shaking that cow;
Here’s what you had for lunch today:
I met a devil, but he didn’t want my soul.

IV.

July
Knows What’s
Lyin’ on the sidewalk,
Mama said I’d lose my head.

V.

One picture puzzle piece,
Pop plugged in the TV fights,
Quick—’fore it becomes a cat.

VI.

Up over the mountains,
Velvet robe of a queen.

VII.

When I looked around,
You admit I’ve told it all?
My attempt at saltwaterlung's challenge!
My poet of choice was Shel Silverstein
I kind of bent the rules from the first line to any line in the poem (I hope that still counts)
Now, I am TERRIBLE at poetry, but this challenge was a lot of fun! if you want to try it, read this saltwaterlungs.deviantart.com/…
